KINNY:kindig:: got into the techno/house music scene at the young age of 17. Locally influenced by Shane Williams aka 'dj big dirty' & Chad Stegall 'the noid' of UDOPIA recordings & EKVILIBRIUM recordings (a Des Moines Iowa based label). Immediately fell in love with electronic music and turntablism. Going to parties every weekend in Iowa city/cedar rapids Iowa, usually thrown by Amnesty'ACG3'/'THE GOAT'Coleman and/or Matt Rissi; owner/operator of SOLAR CATHEDRAL RECORDINGS, who has also been a MAJOR influence. By 19 he had his own set of decks and the rest was history. He promoted and held a series of parties in Burlington Iowa @ the Washington; a live music venue and other local bars in Burlington.. .He has also played   St Louis MO, Kansas City MO,,,

 Iowa city, cedar rapids, Des Moines- all in IOWA> also held a residency at a late night club in Illinois called

Sams Speakeasy and a residency at

The Boogaloo Cafe in Burlington Iowa.

 

Over the past 10 years, along with the electronic side of things, KINNY has been has been filling his schedule with WEDDINGS, Proms, Homecomings, other  school events, and any other gig that needs a DJ/Full service DJ!
